Pop Up card #2

So I made another Pop Up Card.

This one I used Handsome Hunter, Very Vanilla and Elegant Eggplant SU card stock, SU Thoughts & Prayers Stamp set (pg 58). For the flowers this time I used the same card stock and the Bigz TM Flower,Daisies #2 Die (pg 196), the center is a small paper flower and a large gold brad. Green Ribbon (i don't know where from)

Well its time to go be a mom and make dinner.
Until next time, Happy Stampin'

Spinner Card

Last one for today, Maybe...

I have also always wanted to try a spinner card. Thanks again to Dawn and the great "how to Videos" she posts on her website I have made my first one and am very pleased with the outcome. Let me know what you think.

The 3 different pictures are to show you that the humming bird moves. Now that I have this down I must make some more.
I used Mellow Moss, Whisper White and Bashful Blue SU card stock, Delicate Dots SU Designer series paper from Sale-A-Brations and the SU Level 3 hostess stamp set Dream a Little.

Pop Up Card

Hello yet again,

I had seen a pop up card one time on Split Coast Stampers but could not find the instructions. Well after a bit of time on the Net CASE'ing ideas I found someone with instructions, now I did modify the measurements some what (mine is about 1/2" bigger all around) Here is what I have made. Now this may be ruining the surprise but Aprils Stamp Club is Mothers day theme and lets just say that we will be making this type of card.

OK so here is my pop up card:

Folded to fit in a regular envelope

Popped open for display

I used Close to Choco, Very Vanilla and Not Quite Navy SU card stock, SU Chocolate Chip 5/8 Grosgrain Ribbon and the SU Echoes of Kindness (hostess level 2) Stamp set. Other embellishments are paper flowers and a large brown brad.

I would like to thank Diane aka cookiestamper , as she posted on her blog the dimensions and instructions. Also there is a wonderful Demo on You Tube by Dawn aka Dawn5377 and her website for other great Ideas is Here .

Hope you enjoy this,

Make n' Takes from London Regionals

Hello again,

I have a few posts today, I've been busy creating. Well this post was not as much creating but getting things finally finished. I mentioned in an earlier blog that at Regional conference with Stampin' Up! earlier this month, we received some wonderful make n' takes to complete there. Well I will be honest I didn't get any finished there. There was just too much to see and too many wonderful people to meet. So once i was finished putting up new shelves yesterday, my first mission was to complete the make n' takes. Now that they are done, here are some to show you:

Thanks So Much Card:

I did do the stamping there as I do not have the "Soft summer Set" which is available April 1st from the New Occasions Mini catalogue (which I will be posting Wednesday) The assembly of the card I completed at home.

For You Mini Basket:

This one I did all the cutting with the Big Shots they had for us to us and the Bigz TM Baskets & Blooms Die (which may have to order now :) The assembly was done at home.

Kind People Card:

This one I did the stamping there as well, it is the "Soft summer Set" again. This is quickly becoming a new fav and is available to order April 1st.
Last but not least... Without You Gift Card Folder:

This one I completed all of it at home. This is the Best Wishes and More Stamp Set (pg 55 in the current Idea Book and Catalogue). They gave us this stamp set Free at regional. I can see this set being something we will be making in one of my upcoming Stamp Clubs for sure.
Well that's is for the Make n' Takes from regional. Thanks to Stampin' Up! as they really came through with some great ideas at all different difficulty levels. All Images above are my own but the ideas and layouts are copywrite Stampin' Up!.

My Craft Space

Hello Everyone,

Well I wrote my exam Friday, but I will not know the results for about 2 weeks. So as promised to myself and all of you, I am spending the weekend in My craft space.

I am the type of crafter that likes to have everything at an arms length but since I share the office with my husband I am limited as to how much room I have. Also I have sooo much "stuff". So since I could not move my space wider... I decided to go up. So before I could start creating yesterday I had to make a trip to Home Depot. I am always on the web looking out for organizational ideas and one of the best ones I found that a lot of Stamp' Up! demos are using was for punches. I used to keep all my punches in a drawer right next to my craft table, but some time out of sight out of mind happens. Well the idea is using towel holder, that's right just like you would have in the bathroom. So off to the hard ware store I went to get a "cheap" towel hold. There are so many to choose from. Here is a picture I what I did. I have no idea who the first person was that came up with this idea... BUT THANK YOU!

While I was at the hard ware store I started looking at inexpensive shelving. Remember I need to utilize what little wall space I have. Well I left the hardware store with shelves as well, and came right home and installed them and re-organized. (my craft table was getting crowded too) I is nice to be able to spread out and work but still have everything where I can see it.
Here are my new shelves. The top shelve has my inspiration board at the back (cards given to me, pics of my kids and family and other things that make me smile) and 3 baskets, first is paint applicators (sponges, brushes small rollers) 2nd basket is bottles of paint and the last is some of my big shot and cuttlebug dies and embossing folders.

Shelf 2 is (although hard to see as I have all the cards I made Saturday on display) brads, eyelets, buttons, flowers, ribbon scraps and my cuttle bug.

The bottom shelf is glitter, embossing powders, Fun Flock, markers and other colouring mediums.

While I am showing you My Craft Space here are 2 more pics to show you of my Craft Table and my Paper and Ink Table (yes they have their own space) what isn't Shown here is my Stamp shelf, my cutter area, my scrapbook shelf, and my card stock filing cabinet.

If you look at the last picture ( the paper and ink table) this used to me my craft table (way too small) and it worked, but was frustrating sometimes.

Here is are 2 pictures of the old space, and if you look back to some blogs from a year ago, you can read how happy I was to get this (I used to work on the kitchen table)

Fifth Avenue Class- Thanks Heather Summers

Hello again, I will be posting twice tonight.

This first post I had to share with you. Heather Summers, one of the MOST amazing SU demonstrator I met this last weekend in London hosted a get together on Friday night before regionals. We played games, met 60 other demonstrators, swaped and had a great dinner. But my favorite part by far was the project she had prepared for us to do. Above a three pics of my completed project. We made 4 cards and a beautiful box for them.

We used the Fifth Avenue stamp Floral Set (pg106),Urban Oasis DSP (pg161) and the Soho Designer Hardware (pg 175). All of these products are new in the Spring/summer idea book and none of which before that night had I used or even considered ordering, needless to say, I came right home and ordered ALL of it and am planning this class for May or June.
Again, I can not thank Heather and her team enough for a GREAT evening.

Stampin' Up!'s Regional event in London, ON.

First off, this weekend has been AMAZING!!!! It was Regionals for Stampin' Up! held this year in London On. I got to meet Dale (from Head Office in Calgary), Linda, Lori and Shannon from Utah and so many other Stampin' Up! members. Not forgetting all the FAB-U-LOUS demonstrators that I met.

Friday at noon Dorothy and I loaded into her van and off we set on out adventure to London On. Just so you know I don't do well as a passenger, but Dorothy was great (its the other drivers I have issues with...lol) We arrived in London around 4 and checked in to our hotel and did some walking around.

Friday night we went to a demonstrator night which was hosted by Heather, a demonstrator from London and her wonderful team. What an amazing bunch of ladies. There were 60 demonstrators there from all over and Heather had swaps planned and an amazing project. I will be sharing this one with my stamp clubs as soon as I order all the supplies. Thanks again Heather and the Simply Stars Ladies, this was one of my fav moments of the whole weekend.

Now, Saturday was the BIG event! and I mean big. As I have not been with Stampin' Up! for very long and have never attended anything company related I was not sure what to expect. This was big! and they tell me the leadership and convention events are 10x bigger and more exciting.

Stampin' Up! had make and take projects ready for us that were amazing, great wow demonstrations from local demonstrators and amazing projects from SU!. There were so many displays and more swaps. I took over 200 pictures, I would have taken more but my batteries died, for the second time. Note to self, bring more batteries next time. What good is a camera that can a 1000 pictures if you bring cheap batteries that can only take 100 :( lesson learned.

Well I am still on a Stampin' high shall we say, and I am off to create. I will post back later in the month and just want to remind everyone that there are only 16 days left in Sale-a-bration,

Happy Stampin!
