Clean and Simple Sketch challenge and using the SU! Colour Coach

Sometime creating new and exciting cards can be a challenge to come up with ideas. From time to time I like to play along with sketch challenges to see what I can make. For today's challenge I am getting my inspiration from a great place called Clean and Simple Stamping. Here is their challenge this week.

For this challenge I have taken it one step further and actually "used" the great Colour Coach Stampin' Up! has. This new colour coach not only has large colour swatches, it also has 2 colour combination on the back of the cards. So for this card I started by picking one colour, Cherry Cobbler. I love this rich dark red and use it all the time but on the back of the Cherry cobbler colour swatch is 2 suggestions, the Creative Combination and the Sweet set. The sweet set is Cherry Cobbler, Pumpkin Pie and Night of Navy, really? Not a combination I would have thought of on my own so I decided to go with it... and you know what... I love it, and would love to know what you think, so please leave a comment below.

    * SU! Cherry Cobbler, Night of Navy and Pumpkin Pie Classic Ink pad
    * SU! Stamp sets used are On Your Birthday (111664) and Circle Circus (115778)
    * SU! Decorative Label Punch (120907)
    * SNAIL adhesive and Stampin' Dimensionals 

I had a great time working outside of my "comfort" zone and safe colours. Give it a try!
